AMA Announces U.S. Team for 2026 FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup
PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) has confirmed the four racers who will represent the United States at the 2026 FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup, scheduled for March 21-22 in Wonthaggi, Australia. The team will be captained by reigning Women’s Motocross Championship (WMX) champion Lachlan Turner, with Jamie Astudillo, Jordan Jarvis, and Mayla Herrick joining her in the quest for victory.
In the previous year’s competition, the U.S. team achieved a commendable second-place finish, narrowly missing the title to Australia by just two points. “We look forward to building off of last year’s success at the FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup, and we have a team capable of making significant noise at this year’s competition,” said Team Manager Christina Denney. “These incredible women are the future of our sport, and we are confident they will represent the United States with pride.”
Turner returns to the event after a strong performance in 2025, where she secured the best finish for an American, placing second overall with a 2-3-2 moto score. Jarvis also contributed to the U.S. success last year, finishing third overall with a 3-6-3 result. Astudillo played a pivotal role in the team’s performance in 2025 and will return for another attempt. New to the squad is Herrick, who has rapidly advanced in the amateur ranks and secured multiple championships, including at major AMA events such as the Motoplayground Race and Spring A Ding Ding.
The American team will compete against representatives from Australia, New Zealand, and an FIM Asia team in what promises to be a highly competitive weekend of motocross.
