WMX Joins Monster Energy SMX World Championship Final: A Milestone for Women’s Motocross
The WMX (Women’s Motocross) series will make a significant impact during the upcoming Monster Energy SMX World Championship Final on September 26. This event will spotlight elite female talent in a showcase designed to elevate women’s motocross to new heights.
Dave Prater, Vice President of Supercross for Feld Motor Sports, emphasized the significance of WMX’s inclusion, stating, “As the SMX World Championship continues to grow, WMX will play an integral role in that expansion.”
A key driver behind this expansion is a new partnership with Synchrony, renowned for its support of powersports. Through its Synchrony Outdoors division, the company has been an advocate for women in motorcycling, sponsoring initiatives such as the Babes in the Dirt Off-Road Adventure Series with KTM North America. This partnership aims to elevate the WMX championship, providing unprecedented exposure and the potential for historic viewership.
“Sponsoring WMX is a natural extension of Synchrony’s commitment to the powersports community,” said Susan Medrano, SVP and GM of Synchrony Outdoors. “Women are bringing fresh energy and enthusiasm to motocross, and we’re excited to amplify their impact on the sport.”
The SMX World Championship Final promises to be a historic event, aligning women’s motocross with the top tier of the sport and setting the stage for future growth. As WMX athletes gear up for this prime showcase, expectations are high for both performance and viewership, marking a new chapter in motorsports.
