Indianapolis SX Race Report: Roczen and Plessinger Key Highlights
In the latest round of the Indianapolis Supercross, notable incidents involving Ken Roczen and Aaron Plessinger shaped the race narrative. Roczen, recovering from a crash, managed to finish tenth, while Plessinger faced significant challenges following a collision.
Plessinger was involved in an incident during Race 2 after Roczen lost control over a jump. The contact resulted in Plessinger crashing hard, requiring evaluation for injuries. Ultimately, he chose to withdraw from the event after experiencing considerable pain, confirming post-race reports indicated no major injuries.
Plessinger reflected on his performance, stating, “My day was going alright… I climbed up to eighth in the first race… I got a pretty good start inside the top-five before the incident. I have a pretty good bruise on my right arm where [Roczen’s] tire hit me, but as bad as it was, I think I got pretty lucky to get away from that one with nothing broken.”
In the overall standings, Plessinger finished the night with results of 8-22-22, placing him eighth in the 450SX Championship after nine rounds.
As the series continues, both riders will aim to recover and strategize for future races.
