Cameron Hanes to Serve as Grand Marshal at Washougal National

Morgantown, W.Va. – MX Sports Pro Racing has announced that renowned bowhunter and endurance athlete Cameron Hanes will be the Grand Marshal for the FLY Racing Washougal National, held on July 19, 2025. This marks the eighth race of the 2025 Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing. Hanes, a passionate supporter of military veterans, will play a key role in the event’s Military Appreciation Race, honoring service members as a parent of a veteran.

“Cameron Hanes embodies dedication and commitment, making him the perfect candidate for our Grand Marshal,” stated Ryan Huffman, event organizer and co-owner of Washougal MX Park. “His admiration for veterans enhances the purpose of the Military Appreciation Race in partnership with the Veteran MX Foundation.”

Hailing from Eugene, Oregon, Hanes has built a reputation as a premier bowhunter and ultra-marathon runner, utilizing his platform to inspire others through his podcast, Keep Hammering Collective. Earlier in 2025, he attended the Seattle Supercross, which deepened his appreciation for the skills and sacrifices of SMX athletes.

As Grand Marshal, Hanes will engage with participants and present the trophy for the “Branch Battle,” a race segment dedicated to service members within the amateur class.

Fans can look forward to the FLY Racing Washougal National, part of the SMX World Championship, with tickets available at www.ProMotocross.com.
