AFAM Re-enters U.S. Market with Kimpex USA Partnership
Champlain, NY — AFAM, the esteemed Belgian manufacturer of high-performance motorcycle transmission components, is set to re-establish its presence in the U.S. market through a strategic partnership with Kimpex USA, a prominent distributor in the powersports industry.
Historically recognized throughout the 1980s and 90s for their robust chains and sprockets, AFAM earned a loyal following among road, off-road, and motocross riders. The brand aims to revive this legacy by offering premium, race-proven products designed for modern enthusiasts, including the Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha teams.
Under the new agreement, AFAM’s comprehensive range of chains, sprockets, and transmission kits will be accessible to U.S. dealerships, ensuring faster distribution and expert support via Kimpex’s existing networks. “We’re excited to reintroduce AFAM with a solid partner like Kimpex USA,” said Luca Farina, Export Manager of DC AFAM NV. “With over 45 years of global experience, this collaboration enables us to bring our legacy back to American roads and tracks.”
AFAM was founded in 1978 and has built a reputation for quality components that span all levels of motorsport, while Kimpex, established in 1967, has emerged as a leading name in North American powersports distribution.
“There’s a strong demand in the U.S. for high-quality transmission components, and AFAM is a brand that riders already know and trust,” stated Jason Hammond, Vice President and General Manager at Kimpex USA.
AFAM’s products will become available to U.S. dealers starting this summer, supported by a comprehensive launch campaign that includes technical training and promotional incentives. This reintroduction marks a significant moment for both the brand and U.S. motorsports enthusiasts seeking reliable performance components.
