2026 Dakar Rally: Stage 3 Recap
ALULA, Saudi Arabia – The third stage of the 2026 Dakar Rally featured a grueling 666 km route from Yanbu to Alula, where American riders from the Monster Energy/Honda HRC team showcased impressive performances. Ricky Brabec secured a strong 2nd place finish, marking his third consecutive podium in the event. This result propels him into 2nd place overall in the timed standings, trailing only fellow Honda teammate Tosha Schareina.
Skyler Howes also delivered a notable performance, finishing 5th, which enabled him to rise to 6th place in the overall RallyGP standings. Rookie Preston Campbell demonstrated considerable skill as well, clinching 3rd place in the Rally2 category.
Brabec’s approach throughout the early stages has emphasized both patience and consistency. I would like to think I’m in the rhythm of the rally, but it’s still a bit early to tell,” Brabec commented.
