Austin Forkner Injured in Houston SX Crash

Triumph Racing has confirmed that Austin Forkner suffered a fracture in his left hand during a press day accident at NRG Stadium on Friday, prior to the Houston SX round. The crash has ruled him out for the weekend’s events.

Forkner will be placed in a cast for two weeks, with the potential to miss subsequent races, including the upcoming Glendale SX and the Seattle SX scheduled for February 14.

In their official statement on Instagram, Triumph Racing reported: “Austin Forkner sidelined following Houston crash. After his fall during Press Day, the Missouri native sustained a fracture to his left hand and will be placed in a cast for the next two weeks. The injury will be assessed on a week-by-week basis moving forward.”

Forkner’s recovery will be closely monitored as the season progresses.
