Carson Mumford Joins AEO Powersports for 2026 Season
Carson Mumford has officially signed with AEO Powersports KTM Racing Team for the 2026 season, marking a significant shift following his tenure with Quad Lock Honda. Mumford’s previous season was impacted by an ankle injury that limited him to only five main events in the 250SX category, with his highest finish being eighth at the Detroit Supercross in February.
As Mumford transitions to AEO, the team has confirmed that Lux Turner will not return after the conclusion of the SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) season. In contrast, Avery Long has secured a contract extension, ensuring his presence on the roster for his second professional season.
AEO Powersports announced the news via social media, expressing excitement for Mumford’s potential contributions starting at the Anaheim 1 event in January. “BIG NEWS 🏁 Carson Mumford is joining the AEO Powersports KTM Racing Team for the 2026 season! He’ll be lining up on the gate at A1 come January and we’re all looking forward to big things ahead!” the team stated.
This move positions Mumford for a fresh start as he aims to enhance his performance and make a mark in the upcoming Supercross season.
