AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Announcement

The AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame will honor a distinguished group of motorcyclists at the upcoming induction ceremony, part of the AMA Hall of Fame Days scheduled for October 23-26. This year’s ceremony will take place at the Violet Township Event Center, just a mile from AMA headquarters, on October 23, and will be followed by a cocktail reception at the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum.

Rob Dingman, AMA President and CEO, highlighted the significance of the inductees, stating, “Each has made a lasting impact on our sport and lifestyle — whether through competition, advocacy, innovation, or inspiration.”

The inductees span eight categories: Ambassadors & Industry, Design & Engineering, Dirt Track, Leadership & Motorcycle Rights, Motocross & Supercross, Off-Road, Road Racing, and Specialty Competition.

Notable Inductees

  1. Dana Bell: A notable enduro competitor from 1992 to 1999, Bell also advocated for motorcyclists’ rights as the Western States Representative for the AMA’s Government Relations. She received the AMA Motorcycling Advocate Award for her significant contributions to the community.

  2. Chris Carter: Founder of Motion Pro Inc., Carter has been influential in specialty tool design, holding over 30 patents. His sponsorship of racers and ongoing support for conservation efforts has solidified his status as an industry ambassador.

  3. Colin Edwards: Known as the “Texas Tornado,” Edwards won the AMA 250cc Grand Prix Championship in 1992 and later earned two World Superbike titles (2000, 2002). He has 31 WSBK wins and 12 MotoGP podiums to his credit and now operates the Texas Tornado Boot Camp.

  4. Joe Kopp: Kopp claimed the 2000 AMA Grand National Championship and has 21 career wins in AMA Grand National events, ranking him 17th all-time. He is one of only 15 riders to achieve victories across all four dirt track disciplines.

  5. Chad Reed: An Australian icon in AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross, Reed’s career achievements include 61 total victories and two AMA Supercross Championships (2004, 2008). He holds records for the most Supercross Main Event starts and podium finishes.

  6. Ryan Young: A six-time consecutive AMA/NATC Champion from 1988 to 1993, Young has contributed to trials riding while educating new competitors through his company, Ryan Young Products.
