Hymas Dominates at Thunder Valley, Secures Second Pro Motocross Win
Thunder Valley, CO – Chance Hymas of Honda HRC Progressive delivered a commanding performance at the Thunder Valley Pro Motocross event, clinching his second career overall victory with flawless 1-1 moto scores. The results marked a significant turnaround from his previous outing at Hangtown, where he struggled with food poisoning and finished 13th in the first moto, ultimately opting out of the second.
Hymas showcased his speed and skill by topping both qualifying sessions, securing holeshots in each moto, and leading every lap. “It felt really good… that monkey’s been on my back, and I could never get it off,” Hymas stated in the post-race press conference. “Starting the day off fastest, holeshots, and leading every lap is hard to do. It was a special day for sure.”
Honda further solidified its dominance in the series by sweeping all four motos on the day. Hymas reflected on the significance of his win within the team. “I was around when we almost won every championship in 2023… It’s special to contribute to that success. I definitely wouldn’t be here without those guys backing me.”
This win not only adds to Hymas’s achievements but reinforces Honda’s competitive edge in the Pro Motocross series as the team continues to excel, guided by a shared commitment to pushing one another towards greatness.
