Sexton Triumphs in Pro Motocross Return
Washougal, WA – Chase Sexton marked a successful return to professional motocross, clinching victory at the latest round of the Pro Motocross series. The race showcased an intense battle with fellow competitor Jett Lawrence, who acknowledged the high stakes and competitive spirit of the day.
“Our battle was intense throughout both motos,” said Lawrence. “It was fun pushing each other hard.”
Sexton, having made significant bike adjustments earlier in the week, expressed satisfaction with his performance. “I feel like I’m a little ahead of schedule,” he remarked. “After a challenging second moto last week, I knew changes were needed. The modifications to the rear of the bike made a noticeable difference, and I felt ready to compete for the win.”
Looking ahead, Sexton emphasized the importance of the upcoming SMX Playoffs, stressing his focus on preparation. “My goal is to be positioned for the SMX,” he said. “I want to use this momentum to ensure I’m ready.”
Despite facing a competitive field and limited racing under his belt this summer, he noted the value of taking a brief respite to recharge. “I’ve only raced three times in a row, so I’m looking forward to some downtime,” he added, hinting at plans to start training for the SMX.
As Sexton gears up for the playoffs, the competition intensifies, particularly with defending champion Jett Lawrence aiming to secure a third consecutive title. The stage is set for a thrilling showdown in the upcoming events.
