Casey Cochran Delays Season Start with Collarbone Injury
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Casey Cochran, 19, will miss the opening round of the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship due to a collarbone fracture sustained during a training accident at Baker’s Factory. Cochran, originally scheduled to compete in Arlington this weekend, expressed disappointment, stating, “Unfortunately, a practice crash will hinder the start of the season, but we’ll be back out on track soon.”
Team Manager Nathan Ramsey confirmed the injury, emphasizing Cochran’s strong pre-season preparation: “It’s definitely a hard pill to swallow. He put in the work and was very excited and ready to race. This will be a small bump in the road for Casey.”
In Cochran’s absence, Daxton Bennick will make his debut for Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing at AT&T Stadium in Texas on Saturday night, marking a significant opportunity for the newcomer amidst the team’s challenges. Details regarding Cochran’s recovery and potential return will be communicated as they become available.
