Monster Energy AMA Supercross Update: Mid-Season Insights
As the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship progresses, Eli Tomac, Hunter Lawrence, and Ken Roczen have established themselves as the top contenders, with the competition among them intensifying. Cooper Webb, a veteran in the field, acknowledged the fierce rivalry, stating, “We’re all in good form… it’s just small stuff.” With race wins favoring Tomac and Lawrence, Webb emphasized that consistency and tactical racing are crucial moving forward.
Webb, who made his AMA Pro Racing debut at Hangtown in 2013, reflected on his enduring career. “I feel like I’m still getting better… as long as I’m having fun and motivated, I want to be out there,” he noted, expressing his commitment to the sport and optimism for the remaining races.
As the series heads into the final stretch with six races following the St. Louis event on April 4, Webb articulated his strategy: “I’m just kind of going out there and winning… Anything is possible, and I’m going to give it everything I’ve got.” Currently trailing by 26 points, Webb’s pursuit of a fourth championship title remains uncertain but achievable.
With the next race series set to commence, the dynamics of the competition will be crucial as riders seek podium finishes in an increasingly tight battle for the championship.
