Injury Sidelines Drew Adams for Southwick National

Tennessee native Drew Adams will miss the fifth round of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship at Southwick due to a broken finger sustained during the High Point National. This injury follows a promising performance in Colorado, where Adams achieved his first top-five moto finish.

The incident occurred during the second moto at High Point, where Adams reported a series of tip-overs that led to the fracture in his left index finger. He expressed his disappointment, stating, “In Moto 2, I had a decent start and was moving forward until I had a little tip-over. I got back up and made up a few positions, then ended up having another tip-over and suffered a small break in my index finger on my left hand.”

After four rounds of competition, Adams currently ranks 16th in the AMA standings, with a season-best finish of 11th overall at the opening round. In the 250SMX SuperMotocross World Championship, he sits 18th as he prepares for recovery.

Further updates on Adams’ return to racing will be provided as information becomes available.
