Drew Adams to Miss Indianapolis Supercross Following Injury
Drew Adams, rider for the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki team, will not compete in this Saturday’s Indianapolis Supercross due to a broken thumb sustained at the Daytona Supercross. This incident marks a significant setback after a promising weekend where Adams achieved his first 250SX fastest qualifier and secured his first heat race victory.
In Daytona, Adams faced challenges in the main event, ultimately finishing 22nd after a DNF. Until this injury, he had scored a sixth-place finish in the 250SX East opener in Arlington, which showcased his growing potential in the series.
Team Manager Iain Southwell remarked, “It was a great weekend for the team with Seth’s win. He showed incredible determination after going down in practice… With the Triple Crown, those starts are going to be critical, so that will be a key focus in training this week. Unfortunately, Drew injured his thumb and will be taking a week off to rest and recover.”
With a break following the Indianapolis race, Adams has time to recuperate before the Birmingham Supercross on March 21, which is set to be the season’s first 250SX East/West Showdown.
