Dylan Ferrandis Set to Return at Detroit Supercross
As the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship enters its second half, injuries continue to mount, yet a significant return is on the horizon. Dylan Ferrandis, rider for the Troy Lee Designs Red Bull Ducati Factory Racing Team, will make his comeback at this weekend’s Detroit Supercross.
Ferrandis has been sidelined since a thumb injury incurred during the Daytona SX heat race, which forced him to withdraw before the main event. Subsequent attempts to compete in Indianapolis and Birmingham were also thwarted due to insufficient strength in his injured thumb.
This season, Ferrandis has recorded finishes of 9th, 9th, 11th, 10th, 9th, 9th, 10th, and 22nd across eight main event starts, placing him 12th in the 450SX standings.
Excited about his return, Ferrandis posted on Instagram: “Back at it today finally! Let’s do a 1 week bootcamp and race Detroit this weekend 🔥.” Fans and competitors alike will be keen to see how he performs after his recovery.
