Eli Tomac Set for Strong Showing at the 2025 Motocross of Nations
Eli Tomac enters the 2025 Motocross of Nations at Crawfordsville, Indiana, as a formidable contender, currently holding third place in the SuperMotocross World Championship standings. The 2022 champion expresses confidence in his Yamaha YZ450F and his team’s prospects heading into the prestigious international event.
“I’ve got some good momentum right now,” Tomac stated, emphasizing his healthy condition as a crucial advantage. “Of course, I want to win, but overall, I have good confidence in what I’ve got going on.”
Tomac will be joined by teammates Justin Cooper and RJ Hampshire, both key components of the American squad. “We’ve got a solid team,” he added. “If we perform well, we’ve got a great shot at winning.”
However, the competition promises to be fierce, with notables such as Team Australia’s Lawrence brothers, MX2 World Champion Simon Langenfelder from Germany, and MXGP World Champion Romain Febvre of France all vying for supremacy.
Tomac praised the unique challenge of competing against a diverse field. “We race against people we don’t see every weekend. You get to race the best in the world, and that’s what makes the Motocross of Nations special.”
The fan support for Tomac is palpable, as he reflects on his longevity in the sport. “It’s great to see the fans behind me, and the energy of this event is unmatched,” he remarked. “This whole weekend brings something unique to motocross.”
As the American team prepares, Tomac stresses the importance of coming into the event healthy and maintaining a positive mindset. “You want to go in there with a winning mindset,” he stated.
Looking ahead, Tomac outlines his off-season plans, which include participation in two World Supercross events in Canada and Australia, before gearing up for Anaheim 1. “It starts all over again,” he concluded with a hint of humor.
With strong momentum and a supportive team, Tomac is poised to make a significant impact in this year’s competition.
