Tomac Reflects on Longevity and Upcoming Challenges as AMA Pro Racing Season Peaks
Eli Tomac, a seasoned veteran in motocross, continues to demonstrate his commitment to racing as he approaches the final rounds of the AMA Pro Racing season. Despite facing challenges this year, Tomac has secured two moto victories and remains focused on improving his results.
“It’s just a must if you want to try to be the best and stay around that podium,” Tomac stated. “We’re still grinding and still trying to improve ourselves. We’ll see what happens in these last two rounds.” His determination is evident as he looks to wrap up the season with strong performances.
Reflecting on his 15-year career, Tomac acknowledged the importance of enjoying the sport. “I never felt like I burnt myself out," he shared. "Racing is high pressure, but you’ve got to have fun doing it. That’s how I’ve managed to stay competitive.”
Looking ahead, Tomac expressed excitement for the upcoming Motocross of Nations (MXoN), set to take place at Ironman Raceway in Indiana this September. “We have a solid team this year with Chase Sexton, Haiden Deegan, and myself. It’s a big deal to perform on home turf.” With previous experience in the MXoN, he emphasized the unique atmosphere and the importance of representing the U.S.
Currently sitting third in the AMA Pro Racing 450 Championship standings, Tomac’s mixed emotions reflect a season filled with ups and downs, yet his resolve to end on a high note remains steadfast.
