SuperMotocross World Championship Playoff: Key Updates Ahead of Round Two

The second race of the SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) Playoff commences this weekend, with significant developments for competitors and fans alike. On Friday, free practice sessions will be held for all classes: SMX Next World All-Stars, 250SMX, and 450SMX. Notably, the SMX Next World All-Stars will feature a makeup main event due to their absence in the previous round, providing these young athletes with a critical opportunity to score points ahead of Saturday’s key events.

The structure of the SMX Next World All-Stars championship has been adjusted to facilitate this change. Friday’s race will award single points, while Saturday’s main event will offer double points, essential for determining the overall champion in this two-race format.

In contrast, the 250SMX and 450SMX classes will follow the same schedule as the previous round, focusing solely on practice on Friday. Both classes will also compete for double points during Saturday’s motos.
