Gage Linville to Miss Racing Season Following Serious Practice Crash
Gage Linville, a rider for the Dirt Legal Dirt Bike Depot WMR KTM Racing Team, will be sidelined for the foreseeable future due to injuries sustained in a practice crash on February 10. The incident occurred at a practice track, where Linville experienced a “freak accident” costing him five broken ribs, a grade three lacerated liver, and a minor collapsed lung.
This marks his third consecutive year with the KTM-backed DBD Racing team. Linville, who previously secured his first professional podium finishing third in the 250SX main event at Foxborough SX last April, must now put his 2026 season debut on hold.
In an emotional Instagram post, Linville stated: “I’ve had a great offseason and felt the best I ever had coming into round 1 for the east coast. Everything happens for a reason, and I WILL be back at some point during the season to show what I’m capable of.”
Linville thanked his supporters and highlighted the importance of his recovery, stating, “Thanks to everybody who has my back through the highs and the lows.”
There is currently no timeline for his return, but the community is hopeful for a strong recovery.
