Gage Linville Joins Triumph Factory Racing for 2026 SMX World Championship

In a significant move within the motorsports landscape, Gage Linville will join Triumph Factory Racing for the remainder of the 2026 SMX World Championship. This decision comes as Linville, a two-time Partzilla Arenacross champion and rising star in AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross, steps in to fill the void left by the injured Jalek Swoll, who suffered an Achilles injury last weekend in Birmingham, Alabama.

While Linville will not compete this weekend in Detroit, he is expected to make his debut at round six in St. Louis, Missouri, on April 4. His readiness will depend on his adaptation to the TF 250-X, the machine he began testing just days ago.

“Our program is built on strong talent, and Gage fits that profile perfectly,” said a Triumph spokesperson. “His proven track record in the sport makes him an ideal fit as we navigate this challenging season.”

In the 250 Class of the upcoming Pro Motocross season, Linville will be joined by Austin Forkner, who is currently recovering from a hand injury. The team will also feature Jordon Smith and Danish racer Mikkel Haarup in the 450 Class. Smith recently achieved a career-best ninth-place finish in 450SX, marking a milestone for both him and Triumph.

Expressing his excitement about the new opportunity, Linville stated, “I’m very thankful for this opportunity to ride for Triumph Factory Racing. It’s been a dream of mine… The bike is unreal, and I felt comfortable on it from day one. It’s really exciting to be part of such an incredible program.”

As the season progresses, Linville’s performance will be closely monitored as he integrates into the Triumph Factory Racing setup, with expectations high given his previous accolades and the support of the team.
