The athlete emphasized the logistical adjustments he will maintain, stating, “I will stay in The Netherlands, same as always, making multiple trips to ensure my family situation remains stable.” Anticipating the new challenges of racing in Brazil, he remarked on the enthusiasm from fans and team members alike. “People from the team have shared that the support will be immense, with some races drawing crowds of 30,000.”
He acknowledged the unique experiences that different tracks present, stating, “After 15 years in MXGP, many tracks start to feel repetitive. However, I’m looking forward to competing on all-new circuits in 2026.” When asked about potentially participating in the Argentine rounds, he dismissed the idea, citing a need for proper preparation, including acquiring bikes for training. His current focus is on establishing his own race team and participating in about ten European races, including notable events in the Netherlands.
With a nod to future aspirations, he humorously reflected on the prospect of becoming Brazil’s next motocross star, yet remained grounded about the challenges that lie ahead. “While I admire the likes of Jett Lawrence and Jeffrey Herlings, my focus is on maintaining my competitive edge and adapting to the new environment.”
