Haiden Deegan Secures 250SX West Division Championship
ST. LOUIS, MO – Haiden Deegan, riding for Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing, has claimed his second 250SX West Division title following a commanding performance at the St. Louis SX East/West Showdown. This victory marks Deegan’s sixth win of the season and his 13th career victory in the 250SX class.
Deegan entered the race needing a win alongside certain conditions involving his teammate Max Anstie. He executed the race strategy flawlessly, moving from sixth to second after overtaking Kawasaki riders Nick Romano and Seth Hammaker. Once in second, Deegan quickly closed the gap on leader Cole Davies, ultimately taking over the lead and pulling away to win by over 15 seconds.
With this victory, Deegan secured the championship title with two rounds remaining, finishing with a 50-point lead over second-place Levi Kitchen. Anstie, who experienced difficulties throughout the race, finished in 15th, further solidifying Deegan’s championship lead.
The podium was completed by Davies and Hammaker, both competing in the East Division, with Nate Thrasher and Ryder DiFrancesco rounding out the top five.
In his post-race remarks, Deegan expressed his determination: “Man, this one feels good! We’re gonna keep digging, I ain’t done yet! I’m not done ticking ’em off. We’re coming to the 450 class swinging.”
With his second title in hand, Deegan is set to transition to the 450 class, marking the next chapter in his burgeoning motorsports career.
