Haiden Deegan Set to Make International Debut in World Supercross
19-year-old Haiden Deegan, a rising star in motorsports, is preparing for his first international races as he heads to Argentina and Australia for the World Supercross Championship. Deegan has already made a name for himself in the U.S., boasting multiple race victories and five championship titles, including the 2024 AMA Supercross 250SX East Championship—making him one of the youngest to achieve this feat.
“I can’t wait to take my racing international with World Supercross,” Deegan stated. “It’s crazy to think my first races outside the U.S. are coming up in Argentina and then Australia—two awesome spots with passionate fans. I’m ready to race hard and give everyone a great show.”
Deegan’s performance during the AMA Pro Motocross Championship further solidified his status as a consistent and thrilling competitor in the 250 class, where he frequently finished on the podium.
His father, Brian Deegan, highlighted the significance of this opportunity: “This is a big moment for Haiden. We’ve always wanted to take what we do to a global level, and World Supercross gives us that platform to do that.”
The upcoming championship promises to be historic, featuring the strongest rider lineup in World Supercross history. In the SX1 category, top contenders include Jason Anderson, Ken Roczen, Eli Tomac, Cooper Webb, and Justin Cooper. Meanwhile, the SX2 class is set for an intense battle as Max Anstie seeks to dethrone reigning champion Shane McElrath.
Tom Burwell, CEO of the World Supercross Championship, emphasized the significance of Deegan’s participation. “Haiden racing another round of the championship is proof that we are the stage the world’s best riders want to be on. Fans in the Gold Coast will witness history when Haiden lines up as part of our strongest ever rider roster.”
As the World Supercross Championship unfolds, all eyes will be on Deegan as he embarks on this pivotal chapter in his racing career.
