Motocross Report: Millville Highlights and Team Challenges

Millville, MN – The latest round of the Pro Motocross series at Millville saw mixed results for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team, underscored by notable injuries and performance challenges.

Tom Vialle faced an unfortunate early exit from the 250 Class after a significant crash in the second moto, limiting his competition potential. Meanwhile, Julien Beaumer remains sidelined due to lingering effects from his incident at High Point Raceway, compounding the team’s difficulties.

Chase Sexton, the 2024 450 Class Champion, made a commendable return to racing with 3-3 finishes to secure third overall. This marked his second race back after missing several rounds due to injury sustained in the season opener.

Team Manager Ian Harrison provided insight into the day’s events: “Practice in Millville went well, but we encountered challenges with Tom and Aaron. Tom had a solid recovery from a poor start in his first moto, finishing sixth. The second moto for the 250s was tough as we lost Tom in the whoops. Although Chase started strong in the 450s, he lost touch with the leaders after six laps. We’re committed to improving by next week.”

The ongoing season has been physically taxing, with injuries affecting a number of riders, including Aaron Plessinger and Jason Anderson. As the SuperMotocross World Championship approaches its final stretch, these health issues are becoming increasingly pronounced. Plessinger, who delivered a strong performance last season with finishes of 2-3-3-2 in the last four rounds, remains a key focus as the team aims for a podium finish in the upcoming races.

The Pro Motocross series continues to provide thrilling competition, with teams pushing through adversity as they prepare for the SMX Playoffs in September.
