Ironman Combine: Elite Coaching and Rising Talents

The upcoming Ironman Combine showcases an impressive cadre of AMA Hall of Fame members as rider coaches, led by Class of 2000 inductee Broc Glover. Glover, a consistent presence at Combine events, will be joined by 2024 inductee Kevin Windham and 2025 inductee Chad Reed. The coaching roster also includes 2024 FIM Motocross of Nations winning team manager Michael Byrne and respected trainer Gareth Swanepoel, creating a geographically diverse group with representatives from the U.S. and Australia.

Complementing this team are Mike Bonacci, manager of Muc-Off/FXR/ClubMX Yamaha, and Christina Denney, an experienced SMX event and championship coordinator.

This year, the SMX Next initiative has made significant strides, highlighted by successful performances at Pro Motocross events from graduates such as Enzo Temmerman and Kayden Minear. Newcomer Kade Johnson will make his pro debut at Ironman following a strong showing at Loretta Lynn’s.

Among the successful SMX Next alumni is Haiden Deegan, the reigning Pro Motocross 250 Class Champion. Other notable graduates include race winners Julien Beaumer, Cole Davies, and Chance Hymas, alongside top contenders like Drew Adams and Ryder DiFrancesco.

While the focal point will be the two motos, participants will also engage in educational sessions covering critical aspects of the sport, including training and media navigation. This holistic approach aims to prepare young racers for success both on and off the track.
