Eli Tomac Clinches Victory in Seattle, Solidifying Status as Championship Contender

Eli Tomac demonstrated his remarkable resilience by clinching victory at the Seattle round of the 2026 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series, marking his third win in six races. After an inconsistent start that included finishes of third at Anaheim 2 and struggles in Glendale and Houston, Tomac has emerged as a formidable contender alongside Hunter Lawrence, who currently leads the standings.

Following a challenging season in 2024 due to a ruptured Achilles tendon, Tomac’s performance in 2026 highlights a significant return to form. His consistent speed across multiple rounds has reinforced his reputation, with five out of six races showcasing him as “the guy to beat.” This week’s win in Seattle reaffirms his commitment to not just participate in the sport, but to reclaim his dominance.

John Tomac, Eli’s father and race strategist, noted the importance of resilience for the team. “We really didn’t have to rebuild a lot, just try to correct the results,” he stated on the SMX Insider Post-Race Show. “The Triple Crown in Houston was a riding mistake, and the first turn crash last weekend was just unfortunate. Those two tracks were good for him, and it was crucial to turn things around.”

As the season progresses, Tomac’s performance trajectory suggests he is on a successful comeback path, despite the challenges presented by injuries to rival Jett Lawrence. With strong finishes under his belt, Tomac continues to prove he can compete at the highest level in the competitive landscape of Supercross.
