Beta MRT Racing Team Reveals Jago Geerts as New MXGP Rider for 2026 Season

The Beta MRT Racing Team has officially announced the signing of Belgian motocross talent Jago Geerts for the upcoming 2026 MXGP World Championship season. This marks a pivotal transition for Geerts, who has established himself as a fierce competitor within the MX2 category before moving to MXGP.

Geerts, born on April 21, 2000, in Geel, Belgium, boasts an impressive track record that includes multiple European and World Junior Championship titles. Over the past four years, he has consistently finished as runner-up in the MX2 World Championship, securing a remarkable 24 Grand Prix victories and 55 podium finishes. Despite a competitive debut season in MXGP with a 12th-place overall finish in 2025, Geerts demonstrated his potential with a sixth-place result at the Latvian Grand Prix and a victory in the Qualifying Race in Lugo, Spain.

Beta’s management expressed confidence in Geerts’ abilities, highlighting his experience and determination as key assets for the team as they aim for top positions in the challenging MXGP circuit. Fans and media are invited to meet Geerts on November 6 at EICMA, where he will participate in a special autograph session at the Betamotor Stand (Hall 7, Stand O48).
