Herlings to Miss Finnish MXGP with Collarbone Injury
KTM has confirmed that Jeffrey Herlings, the renowned Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider, will miss the upcoming MXGP of Finland following a broken right collarbone sustained during a team training session in Arnhem.
The 30-year-old Dutchman, a two-time winner in the current season, was training at a sandy circuit set to host the Dutch GP later this year when the injury occurred. Preliminary assessments recommend a natural healing process, with the potential for surgical intervention to be evaluated next week.
Herlings has made a significant impact during the 2025 season, claiming victories at the German and Latvian Grands Prix, alongside three moto wins and two pole positions. Despite entering the season late due to knee surgery, he currently ranks 6th in the championship standings.
The Finnish MXGP, scheduled for July 12-13 at the KymiRing, marks the 13th round of the 20-race series. The Red Bull KTM team will monitor Herlings’ recovery closely to determine his return timeline.
