AUSX Supercross Championship Returns to Melbourne
Melbourne, Australia – The 2025 Boost Mobile AUSX Open Supercross is set to take place at Marvel Stadium on Saturday, November 22, with the elite Lawrence brothers—Jett and Hunter—leading the charge in what promises to be a historic tenth-anniversary event. Following a record-setting 42,000-strong crowd in 2024, anticipation is high as the AUSX Open prepares to showcase the world’s best riders alongside innovative race formats and track designs.
Managing Director Kelly Bailey emphasized the significance of the event: “To headline the 10-year anniversary with two of the sport’s biggest stars, on home soil, is massive. Jett and Hunter are more than athletes—they’re hometown heroes and global icons. We’re aiming to elevate the AUSX Open experience with more international stars and unforgettable moments.”
For Jett Lawrence, this year offers a chance for redemption after his disappointing DNF last season. The reigning 2024 SuperMotocross World Champion stated, “I want to win!” reflecting the determination that underpins the upcoming competition. Conversely, brother Hunter Lawrence, who triumphed in 2024, expressed the emotional weight of racing at home: “To share that moment with our family and friends—the crowd was next level.”
Together, the Lawrence brothers have dominated Supercross, amassing numerous AMA titles. Their return to Melbourne, in front of an ardent Australian crowd, is set to deepen their legacy.
Scott Fitzgerald, General Manager of Marvel Stadium, described the event as a pivotal moment for Melbourne, boasting “the largest and most technical Supercross track” in Australia, alongside FMX stunts and live music, enhancing the overall fan experience.
As preparations unfold, daily updates, including major rider announcements and ticketing information, will be shared, building anticipation for the showdown on November 22. The stage is set: who will challenge the Lawrence brothers in Melbourne’s Supercross spotlight?
