SuperMotocross World Championship: Jett Lawrence Claims Third Consecutive Title

Las Vegas, Nev. — September 21, 2025 — In a remarkable display of skill and determination, Jett Lawrence secured his third consecutive SMX World Championship™ with a compelling performance at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Competing on a specially constructed track along The Strip, Lawrence won the first moto and clinched second in the second moto, earning him a (1-2)score and the overall event victory. This triumph not only awarded him a $100,000 race win bonus but also the prestigious $1 million championship payout.

The evening also marked a historic victory for Jo Shimoda, who became the first Japanese rider to win an SMX title, taking the championship in the 250SMX Class. Shimoda needed only a second-place finish overall to secure the title and accomplished this amidst fierce competition from Haiden Deegan, ultimately winning the event and earning a $500,000 bonus.

Hunter Lawrence, Jett’s brother and teammate, contended for his first 450SMX title, finishing third in the opening moto but fighting back to win the second moto. Despite battling illness, his (3-1) results granted him second overall for the night and in the championship, resulting in a $500,000 runner-up bonus.

Eli Tomac of Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing rounded out the podium, achieving a (2-3) finish that secured him third overall for both the event and the championship, alongside a $250,000 bonus.

The finale in Las Vegas delivered high-octane excitement under the clear sky, culminating in a night where both seasoned champions and first-time victors were celebrated on a grand stage.
