Smith Set for 450SX Debut at Arlington; Triumph Racing Eyes Strong Performance
Jordon Smith will make his long-awaited 450SX debut this weekend at the Arlington round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross. After previously competing in the 250cc class, Smith has transitioned to the premier division full-time. His move followed a shoulder injury sustained at the Monster Energy SMX World Championship last September, which required surgery and sidelined him for the first six rounds of the season.
Triumph Factory Racing had initially planned for Austin Forkner to represent the team in the 450SX class with the TF 450-X. However, Forkner is currently out due to a hand injury sustained earlier in the season. Reports indicate that he will return to action in the 450SX class once he has recovered.
This weekend, the Triumph Factory Racing Team will not only feature Smith but will also see Jalek Swoll make his season debut in the 250SX East Division. Both riders carry significant expectations as they aim to enhance the team’s competitiveness at AT&T Stadium.
Smith remarked, “A new chapter begins. We cannot wait to show what we got as we head to Texas.” The team is optimistic about their performance as they prepare for the upcoming race, highlighting a pivotal moment in their racing campaign.
