Jorge Prado and Monster Energy Kawasaki Display Promising Signs at RedBud

Jorge Prado delivered a solid performance at the RedBud national, securing a 7-5 finish for sixth overall in the 450 class. While his results mirrored those from Southwick, where he placed fifth with a 5-6 tally, this weekend showcased critical improvements and potential.

Entering RedBud, Prado aimed to replicate his strong sand racing performance from Southwick. He not only maintained his position but also demonstrated competitiveness by initially passing Jett Lawrence on the first lap of Moto 1 and leading laps in Moto 2. These results indicate a marked improvement compared to earlier rounds, where he struggled to break into the top ten.

“This was a step in the right direction for me," Prado stated. "This week we did a lot of work on the bike, and we will keep building on that. I’ve been out riding on the East Coast and testing different things. Being up front today was a very comfortable feeling for me. It helped me understand the bike more and the areas we can work on. I just need to keep training and testing, and I know we can be on the podium soon.”

As Prado continues to refine his setup with the support of his team, the trajectory suggests he is on the cusp of returning to podium contention.
