Justin Barcia Provides Update on Recovery Following Collision at AMA Supercross Opener

After last week’s severe incident with Malcolm Stewart at the 2026 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season opener, Justin Barcia has issued a recovery update. In a brief statement on his Instagram story, Barcia confirmed that he is making every effort to return to racing but could not specify a timeline for his comeback.

Barcia, who suffered two broken bones in his back and a concussion, addressed the ongoing speculation in the media. He emphasized the importance of proper recovery, working closely with his physician, Dr. G. “Suffering from two broken bones in my back and a concussion takes time. I can’t put a date on it yet. I’m doing everything right with Dr. G to return ASAP,” he stated alongside a photo of himself on a motorcycle.

Barcia’s condition remains a focal point as fans and competitors await his return to the track. Further updates are expected as recovery progresses.
