Pittsburgh Supercross: Justin Cooper Secures Another Podium Finish

In a competitive showing at the Pittsburgh Supercross, Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Justin Cooper claimed third place in the 450SX main event, marking his third podium since entering the class full-time in 2024.

Cooper showcased impressive speed throughout the night, dominating his heat race and achieving the fastest lap of the main event. However, a less-than-ideal start left him initially in fifth or sixth position. Despite this setback, he engaged in a crucial battle with Aaron Plessinger and Ken Roczen to secure his podium spot.

Reflecting on his performance, Cooper acknowledged the challenges he faced during the race: "I didn’t get the best of starts, which is a little disappointing. I had to pass [Plessinger] and then had a good battle with Kenny [Roczen]. I started to adapt to the newer lines, but I lost the tow and was in kind of no man’s land from there."

The night was also marked by unexpected results, as title contenders Cooper Webb and Chase Sexton failed to win their heat races, adding to the intrigue of the event. While Cooper’s effort fell short of victory, his performance further solidified his status as a contender in the 450SX series.
