In a recent interview, Minear shared insights about his experience in the U.S. and his preparation for the prestigious Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch.
In a notable development, Yamaha announced this afternoon that the 18-year-old Minear will make his U.S. Pro Motocross debut at the Thunder Valley National this weekend. He is scheduled to compete in several outdoor rounds leading up to Loretta Lynn’s, indicating a strategic move to gain invaluable experience against seasoned competitors.
The Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing team faces significant challenges, with key riders including Pierce Brown, Cole Davies, Daxton Bennick, Max Anstie, and Jeremy Martin currently sidelined. As a result, Minear’s entry is timely and underscores his potential as a rising talent.

Expressing his excitement, Minear stated, “I’m so grateful to have been given the opportunity to make my pro debut this weekend at Thunder Valley. I’ve been putting in a lot of work with the team to get up to speed, and I’m confident that I can go compete with the pros and get the results we’re looking for.”
As anticipation builds for the third round of the series, all eyes will be on Minear to see how he adapts to the professional circuit.
