Keefer, Vohland Push Boundaries with Innovative Setup at ClubMx
ClubMx, USA — Kris Keefer recently tested a modified Yamaha YZ250, originally piloted by Max Vohland, featuring a unique "hand brake" system developed by Clake/ASV Inventions. This adaptation was necessitated by Vohland’s recovery from a severe injury that resulted in nerve damage to his right leg and foot.
Despite the challenges, Vohland has made a remarkable comeback in competitive racing, achieving a podium finish just six months post-injury. His collaboration with the ClubMx team has positioned them at the forefront of innovation in the sport.
During the test, Keefer demonstrated the bike’s capabilities on both the turn track and front track at ClubMx. The session highlighted the complexities and skills required to maneuver such a modified setup effectively.
Key Insight: The integration of the hand brake system not only illustrates the advances in adaptive technology in motocross but also reflects the resilience of athletes like Vohland who continue to push their limits against the odds.
