KTM Secures $632 Million Loan from Bajaj Auto Amid Financial Restructuring

May 23, 2025 – KTM AG has successfully secured a significant financial lifeline, receiving a $632 million loan from its long-time partner Bajaj Auto. This funding is crucial for the company’s efforts to stabilize operations ahead of a critical deadline to deposit approximately $600 million with its insolvency administrator.

The confirmation came through an official press release, highlighting the strategic partnership’s importance in KTM’s recovery plan. According to CEO Gottfried Neumeister, this financial boost will facilitate a robust restructuring effort, allowing the company to build on the €200 million already invested.

Neumeister stated, "Today we have been given the opportunity to continue the history of KTM. Together with our long-standing partner Bajaj, we have developed a strategy that will enable us to raise an additional 600 million euros for our new start. The existing sites, particularly our main plant in Mattighofen/Munderfing, will remain the foundation for our future success."

This investment reinforces KTM’s commitment to maintaining its operations and preserving jobs in the region, as it gears up for what Neumeister describes as a “next chapter” full of potential. The company’s leadership expressed gratitude to all stakeholders who contributed to this development, particularly noting the foundational role played by Stefan Pierer in building one of the world’s leading motorcycle brands.
