Hymas Faces Injury Setback at High Point Raceway

In a challenging outing at High Point Raceway, Honda’s Jett Hymas posted a 5-3 finish in the motos, but a last-lap incident has left him with significant right knee pain. “It was a rough day for me… I dabbed my good leg, and now I’m dealing with a lot of pain,” Hymas stated in a Honda release. He is scheduled for a medical evaluation on Monday to determine the extent of the injury and formulate a recovery plan.

This performance follows Hymas’s breakout 1-1 finishes at Thunder Valley National, positioning him third in the championship standings. He trails fellow Honda HRC Progressive teammate Jo Shimoda and series leader Haiden Deegan of Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing.

Hymas, who had previously showcased strong potential at High Point with a sixth overall finish two years ago, is now facing uncertainty. His previous knee injury required season-ending surgery, heightening concerns as he navigates this latest setback.

As the series takes a weekend off, teams will regroup ahead of the upcoming Southwick National on June 28. Further updates on Hymas’s condition are anticipated following his medical assessment.
