Lawrence Streak Faces Challenge at Spring Creek

CLEARWATER, MN – In the 2025 motocross season, Jett Lawrence continues an impressive unbeaten streak in the overall standings. With Eli Tomac recovering from a mechanical failure at RedBud last week—where he suffered a poor start in the second moto—this event presents an opportunity for him to reclaim his competitiveness. Tomac has previously bested Lawrence in several motos and is expected to contend strongly at Spring Creek.

Chase Sexton, returning after a severe crash at the season opener, demonstrated significant improvement last week, moving from a rusty first moto performance to a much more competitive effort in the second. His trajectory suggests a robust rebound is likely today. Meanwhile, Hunter Lawrence, Jett’s brother, has shown consistent form this season and could threaten Jett’s winning streak if conditions align.

The injury list continues to affect rider participation. Notable absentees include Jason Anderson, who is sidelined with health issues, and several others dealing with leg injuries: Grant Harlan, Derek Kelly, and Joey Savatgy. Cooper Webb is out for the remainder of the series due to a knee injury, while Julien Beaumer misses the 250 Class action with a jammed wrist.

Adding emotional weight to today’s event, Jeremy Martin will officially conclude his professional career. The two-time 250 National Champion will race at Spring Creek, the track owned by his family and where his journey in motocross began.
