Maximilian Spies Joins Team Germany for 2025 Motocross of Nations
Frankfurt — Maximilian Spies has been named as the Open class rider for Team Germany at the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations (MXoN), set for October 4-5 at Ironman Raceway, Indiana. This marks Spies’ debut at the prestigious event, complementing the earlier announcement of Simon Längenfelder as the MX2 class representative.
The 21-year-old Spies, who competes for Becker Racing, recently demonstrated his competitive edge by winning the ADAC MX Masters race in Gaildorf. His efforts have also been evident in select MXGP appearances, where he has shown resilience and adaptability on diverse terrains.
“I’m thrilled to be part of the team,” Spies stated. “It has been my childhood dream since the MXoN in Teutschenthal in 2013. This will also be my first time in the USA, so two dreams will finally come true.”
Team managers Marcel Dornhöfer and Karsten Schneider emphasized Spies’ consistent performance throughout the ADAC MX Masters season and his capability to achieve strong results in the MXGP series, citing his skill in navigating challenging track conditions.
The final MXGP class rider for Team Germany is expected to be announced in the coming days, completing the roster for this high-stakes international competition.
