Mike Brown’s Recovery Update Following Serious Practice Crash

Motorcycle racing veteran Mike Brown is currently hospitalized following a severe crash during practice on June 3. The 53-year-old from Bristol, TN, sustained multiple critical injuries when his bike lost control while navigating a rut, resulting in a violent ejection from the vehicle.

In a recent statement from Road 2 Recovery, it was disclosed that Brown suffered a concussion, a broken neck, a transient ischemic attack (TIA), and a swollen artery due to bone trauma. These injuries necessitated urgent surgical interventions, which took place on June 5 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. The procedure involved the installation of a screw on his C1 vertebra and metal plates on his C5 and C7 vertebrae.

Currently, Brown is set to transfer to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta for intensive rehabilitation. While he continues to face neurological and vascular complications, medical professionals remain cautiously optimistic about his recovery trajectory.

Expressing gratitude, Brown stated, “I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to my entire Triumph Racing team for their unwavering support. A special thank you goes to my manager, Jeremy, and to Dr. Ifeanyi N. Nzegwu for the successful surgery. Your support means everything.”

Further updates and support options for Brown’s recovery can be found on the Road 2 Recovery website.
