Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations Set for U.S. Through 2031
Infront Moto Racing has confirmed that the prestigious Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations (MXoN) will be hosted in the United States in both 2028 and 2031, extending a partnership with MX Sports. The upcoming event is scheduled for early October 2025 at Ironman Raceway in Indiana, marking the sixth occasion that the MXoN will take place on U.S. soil.
Historically, the U.S. has hosted the MXoN in multiple locations, beginning with Unadilla MX in 1987, followed by Budds Creek (2007), Thunder Valley (2010), and RedBud MX (2018 and 2022). The choice of venues for the 2028 and 2031 events remains unannounced, presenting potential new locations for this celebrated race.
David Luongo, CEO of Infront Moto Racing, expressed enthusiasm about the agreement, stating, "We are more than happy to announce the extension… This ensures that the most prestigious off-road event will return to the United States every three years through to 2031."
Davey Coombs, Vice President of MX Sports, highlighted the significance of the agreement, noting, "We are excited for our domestic fans… helping to unite the entire motocross world for many years to come." He also indicated the numerous available premier racetracks in the U.S. as potential hosts for the 2031 event.
This development underscores the United States’ role as a vital player in the global motocross scene, showcasing world-class facilities and a passionate fan base.
