Husqvarna’s RJ Hampshire Undergoes Foot Surgery, Aiming for Swift Return to Supercross
In a briefing ahead of the Arlington Supercross, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna team manager Nate Ramsey provided key updates on the team’s current roster, specifically focusing on 450SX riders RJ Hampshire and Malcolm Stewart, as well as the 250SX lineup.
Hampshire recently underwent surgery to address a foot injury that caused him to miss the Seattle Supercross. Ramsey confirmed the procedure was successful and projected a recovery timeline of four to six weeks before Hampshire can resume riding. However, he noted Hampshire’s determination, stating, “Knowing RJ, he’s probably going to be trying to ride in three weeks.”
Ramsey expressed confidence in Hampshire’s potential earlier return, asserting, “I think you’ll see him back before the year’s out for supercross.” The team is optimistic about Hampshire’s ability to maintain fitness during his recovery, ensuring a smoother transition back to competition.
The Husqvarna team remains focused on maximizing their season performance, with Ramsey’s updates highlighting the resilience and professionalism of their riders amid injury challenges.
