Prado to Miss Arlington Round After Seattle Crash
Murrietta, California – Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider Jorge Prado will not participate in Round 7 of the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship in Arlington, Texas, due to a shoulder injury sustained during a crash in Seattle. Following the incident in the final qualifying session, Prado was evaluated for potential injuries, revealing excessive swelling and irritation in his right shoulder joint.
Team Manager Ian Harrison confirmed that while no major injuries were found, the decision was made for Prado to take a week off to prioritize his recovery. “Jorge’s health is the absolute priority,” Harrison stated. “With some more therapy, I am sure that he will be back and competitive again as soon as he is ready.”
Prado’s performance in the series has been noteworthy, highlighted by a strong podium finish in third at Anaheim 1, along with three Heat Race victories at Anaheim 1, Anaheim 2, and Glendale. He also claimed the fastest qualifying times at both Glendale and Seattle.
The four-time world champion aims for a return at the Daytona Supercross on February 28, focusing on regaining full strength before rejoining competition.
