Hammaker’s Season Wraps with Strong Performance at Washougal

Seth Hammaker concluded his Monster Energy AMA Supercross 250SX East Division campaign with a mix of triumph and disappointment. Despite securing two victories throughout the season, the Pennsylvania native narrowly missed out on the championship title, a testament to his resilience during a comprehensive rebuilding phase.

Hammaker’s year was marked by significant changes, including a shift in training environments and adjustments to his riding technique. He articulated a sense of fulfillment in being a title contender, emphasizing that achieving health and consistency was the primary goal. "Making it through the year healthy was the target; the wins and podiums were a bonus," Hammaker remarked, highlighting his focus on long-term growth.

At the Washougal National, Hammaker demonstrated his progression with a seventh-place finish in the first moto followed by a commendable third in the second moto. After a strong start, he led the race for a significant portion before ultimately being passed by championship leader Haiden Deegan. His combined 7-3 performance secured him fourth overall—a new career best in Pro Motocross, surpassing his previous top five finish at the Southwick National.

This marks only Hammaker’s second podium in Pro Motocross, reflecting a positive trajectory as he navigates through shoulder and knee injuries. As he analyzes a season filled with lessons and achievements, Hammaker remains optimistic about future prospects in the sport.
