SMX Next World All-Stars Set for Championship Showdown
CONCORD, N.C. – The SMX League has officially announced the roster for the inaugural SMX Next World All-Stars, a key event in the sport’s pursuit of developing elite young talent. The series culminates with two pivotal races during the SMX World Championship Playoffs: Playoff 1 on September 6 at zMAX Dragway and the Championship Final on September 13 at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis.
The field features top finishers from various prestigious motocross events, including the Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s, the SMX Next – Supercross National Championship in Pittsburgh, and podium competitors from the SMX Next – Scouting Moto Combine events at Hangtown, RedBud, and Ironman. Remaining spots were filled through invitations based on performance in major amateur competitions globally.
Mike Muye, Sr. Director of Supercross at Feld Motor Sports, stated, “The SMX Next World All-Stars will showcase the exceptional talent possessed by these elite prospects. We’ve witnessed their progression, and now it’s time for them to compete for a World Championship.”
A new scoring format adds to the stakes. Playoff 1 will award single points, while the Final will offer double points, with the highest total in St. Louis determining the SMX Next World All-Stars Champion, who will receive a No. 1 plate. Notably, each All-Star racer’s motorcycle will feature a distinctive hi-vis purple numbering system on white backgrounds to differentiate them from their professional counterparts.
This series promises to heighten the intensity of the SMX World Championship Playoffs, complementing the established 450cc and 250cc classes. Expect an electrifying display of talent and ambition as these young athletes vie for the championship title.
