Youth Bike Race Report: Results and Highlights
Crawfordsville, IN — The latest round of the Youth Bike race showcased intense competition and notable performances across various classes.
Travis Lentz once again asserted his dominance, clinching the overall victory while also securing the YXC1 Super Mini Sr. (14-15) class title. Hunter Hawkinberry finished second overall, simultaneously winning the YXC2 Super Mini Jr. (12-13) class. Kale Kirkman completed the podium in third place, claiming the runner-up spot in the YXC1 category.
Logan Shafter rounded out the top three in the YXC1 class. In the YXC2 category, Deegan Caplinger and Gabriel Jimenez finished second and third, respectively. Hunter Carey won the 85 Big Wheel (14-15) class, with Caleb Johnson taking the 85 Big Wheel (11-13) victory. Evan Porter emerged victorious in the 85 (12-13) class, while Trason Landrum and Tripp Lewis claimed wins in the 85 (11) and 85 (7-10) classes, respectively.
In the 65 classes, Shawn Remington Jr. won the 65 (10-11) title, while Krue Russell triumphed in the 65 (9) class. Tanner Toland secured the 65 (7-8) win. The girls’ categories saw Sahara Robinson win the Girls Super Mini (12-16) class, Baylee Arsenault top the Girls 85 (7-13), and Aubrey Tsakanikas take the Girls 65 (7-11).
Daxton Mullins captured the Micro Bike overall title and the MXC1 (8-9) class win. Kane Morrison finished second overall and in the MXC1 class, with Weston Ford completing the top three in both categories. Ryder Baricska claimed the MXC2 class victory, with Kash Brummage and Viktor Cadieux finishing second and third.
Additional winners included Carson Zink (50 Sr. 1, 7), Kolt Morrison (50 Sr. 2, 6), Jacobi Duvall (50 Jr. 1, 6-7), and Kane Gasper (50 Jr. 2, 4-5). In the Micro classes, Maverick Novak won Micro-E1 (7-8), Nathan Zhang took Micro-E2 (4-6), Tucker Rodeheaver won the Micro (4-6) Shaft Drive, and Braxton Waller secured the Trail Rider (7-9) win.
The Progressive GNCC Racing series will continue with Round 7, the AMSOIL Hoosier, scheduled for May 16-18, 2025, at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
