Talladega GNCC Results: Youth and Women’s Participation Highlighted
Talladega, Alabama – The third round of the GNCC series showcased thrilling performances across various youth classes and highlighted an inspiring surge in female participation.
In the Youth Bike race, Phillip Arnold emerged victorious, clinching both the overall and YXC1 Super Mini Sr. (14-15) titles despite challenging weather conditions, including overnight rain. Bentley Saxon finished second overall and in the YXC1 class, while Hunter Hawkinberry secured third overall and third in YXC1.
In the YXC2 Super Mini Jr. (12-13) class, Deegan Caplinger took the win, with further victories recorded in multiple categories:
- Evan Porter: 85 Big Wheel (14-15)
- Colt Chaney: 85 Big Wheel (11-13)
- James Razor: 85 (12-13)
- Tripp Lewis: 85 (11)
- Cash Knecht: 85 (7-10)
- Reed Lokker: 65 (10-11)
- Ryder Baricska: 65 (9)
- Carson Zink: 65 (7-8)
In the Girls Super Mini (12-16) category, Vaida Lavergne continued her dominance, while Aubrey Tsakanikas, Jhorjie Walker, and Mari Evkovich claimed victories in their respective girls’ classes.
The Micro Bike race saw Peyton Austin take both the overall and MXC1 (8-9) victories, with Ryder Baricska following in second, and Kash Brummage completing the top three. Additional class winners included:
- Carson Zink: MXC2 (6-8)
- Kolt Morrison: 50 Sr. 1 (7)
- Landon Babineau: 50 Sr. 2 (6)
- Weston Rose: 50 Jr. 1 (6-7)
- Hudson Ziklo: 50 Jr. 2 (4-5)
- Rylee Huff: Girls (6-9)
In a landmark celebration for Women’s Month, nearly 160 women and girls participated, underscoring the growth of female representation in off-road racing. The track was filled with skillful competitors from youth ranks to the premier WXC class, demonstrating the expanding opportunities for women in motorsport and marking a significant moment in the GNCC community.
