Lucas Dominates MXGP Season Amidst Intense Competition

In a thrilling conclusion to the MXGP season, Lucas emerged as a standout competitor, showcasing maturity well beyond his years. Despite a challenging title race, he managed to maintain composure and skill throughout the grueling championship.

Reflecting on the season, Lucas stated, “When you are down by nine points, it feels like a restart. I had to work even harder and prepare mentally. Chasing the lead can sometimes be easier than defending it.” This mentality proved vital, especially after a pivotal performance in China that alleviated pressure heading into the Australian round.

Lucas’s impressive performance was not without its challenges. He recalled lessons from his near-miss championship in 2021, where he lost to legendary riders Tim and Jeffrey by just five points. “I learned the importance of consistency and not panicking during tough moments. Despite being down in Lommel, I remained focused, and it paid off with strong finishes in Sweden and China,” he noted.

Additionally, Lucas recognized his young competitor’s potential, highlighting his spectacular debut year in the top tier of motocross racing. “He’s shown incredible talent as a newcomer, and I anticipated he’d be my main rival for the title. His confidence grew as the season progressed, and he proved he has a bright future ahead,” Lucas commented.

As the season wraps up, the focus now shifts to the evolving dynamics of the MXGP class, with Lucas set to be a key figure as competitors prepare for the challenges ahead in the 2026 season.
